The Atari ST is a family of home computers made by Atari from 1985-1992 as a replacement for the aging 8-bit line. The initial model was the 520ST in June 1985. Later models included the 1040STF, 520STFM, ST1 (Mega), 520STE, 1040STE, Mega STE, TT030, and Falcon030. The Falcon030 was the final model released in 1992, and the line was discontinued by Atari in 1993. The Atari ST uses a mouse-driven graphical user interface very similar to the one in the Macintosh Classic which was released a year earlier. The ST was one of the first affordable computers with built-in MIDI ports which allowed it to play a major role in the growing synthesized music scene of the time.
I've never used an Atari ST in real life, but I have used the system a bit in emulators.
I do not own nor have I ever owned a computer in the Atari ST line.
I don't know the hardware well enough to write a review.
