William McGuire Bryson is an author who writes books, mostly about travel, but over many other topics as well.
Personal
I remember seeing Bryson's name from the book A Walk In the Woods, but the first book of his I read was In a Sunburned Country, which I borrowed from a friend at a book swap. However, it wasn't until I read A Short History of Nearly Everything that I really got hooked. Every book of his that I've read has been both informative and enjoyable, but a few have been less impressive to me as others.
Bibliography
If the rank is missing, I haven't yet read the book.
