Book

A book is recorded information stored as writing, illustrations, or a combination of the two. Over the years, books have been created in a variety of formats and mediums. Formats include the codex (many pages bound together), the scroll (a long sheet rolled up), the digital file (a series of electronic information), etc. Mediums include paper, papyrus, vellum, magnetic tape, etc.

Personal
My mother piqued my interest in books as a child by reading bedtime stories to my siblings and me, but I didn't start reading books as a hobby until late in elementary school when I started having access to books about my interests at the time. I prefer my fiction to be in the form of an audio book with a skilled reader, but I like my non-fiction in codex form so I can focus on it at my own pace.
