Chip 'N Dale: Rescue Rangers (universe)
The Chip 'N Dale: Rescue Rangers universe began as a Disney animated television show created by Tad Stones and Alan Zaslove. It uses the well-developed characters Chip 'n' Dale, but places them in a setting where they are private investigators. The show premiered in 1989 and ran for three seasons. Additional forms of media were also made around the series including video games, comic books, and various other merchandise.

Personal
I was 8-years-old when the cartoon first came on network TV, and I loved watching the show when I came home from school. While the show was on TV and in syndication, I probably saw the majority of the episodes. When the NES game came out, I rented it and beat it before I had to return it, something that was unheard of for me at the time. In 2018, wanting to add more games to my completed list, I beat the sequel on my second attempt. I haven't played the DOS game, read any of the comics, or had much contact with the rest of the content.
