Extraordinary Voyages (universe)
The Extraordinary Voyages, or Voyages extraordinaires in their original French, is a collection of books written by Jules Verne. In total, he wrote 54 novels, from 1863 to 1905, with another eight released posthumously and heavily altered by his son. Although the novels didn't feature any related characters or content, they all shared a similar theme, to showcase the latest of modern science and technology in an entertaining manner. The majority of Verne's published works are part of this collection, though he did write many poems, plays, and other stories. Most of these novels were published as serials before being later published as complete books.
Personal
Although I was aware of several of Verne's books, I had no idea they were often viewed as part of a collection. It wasn't until I read my third book of his that I learned about this name. I have no intention of reading the entire series, as I find most of Verne's work to be dull.
