Foxit Reader is a PDF viewer that has, unfortunately, become bloated with "features" over time, but is still one of the best free PDF viewers despite its nagware model. The interface has unfortunately taken the shitty Microsoft ribbon approach, and all versions after 7.2.8.1124 have removed the ability to use the superior classic toolbar approach.
You can get the last good version here: filehippo.com/download_foxit/64763/
Install this version, the do the following to make it look decent:
- File -> Change Toolbar Mode -> Click, Classic Toolbar Mode.
- Edit -> Preferences -> Updater -> Select, Do not download or install updates automatically.
- Edit -> Preferences -> General -> Uncheck, Show Start Page, and uncheck Show Advertisement.
