Gordon is the first studio album by Barenaked Ladies published on 1992-07-28. The songs are a variety of pop genres like college rock and alternative rock and the songs span themes including relationships, the music industry, and childhood issues. The majority of the songs on the album first appeared on the many demo albums released by the band.
Personal
In my 20s, my girlfriend was a big fan of Barenaked Ladies and had this album, so I heard it through it her. However, I wasn't much of a fan at the time, but I did like a couple songs on it, especially If I Had $1000000. After we broke up, I downloaded the band's popular songs and began to like them more which led me to notice that many of the songs I liked were on this album, so, I eventually bought it and gained a strong appreciation for it. It's now my third favorite album by the band.
