This is a list of popular video games I don't like. Games in this list have seen a lot of sales and generally get favorable reviews from players, but not from me. I don't hate any of them, and I can usually say several nice things about the games, but, ultimately, I find them to be inferior games.

Title Platform Notes
Crash Banidcoot PlayStation I remember seeing someone play this game and thinking, "is this it? you just run down a hallway and avoid hazards?" The low poly count is terrible, the sound effects are obnoxious, and, for a large part of the game, yeah, you just run down a hallway.
Donkey Kong Country SNES I hate low-resolution pre-rendered graphics, and that's all this game is. I'm also not much of a fan of the game's level design. Great music though.
F-Zero SNES I've always seen this as just a boring old racing game. You drive around, over and over again, until you memorize the track, but, no matter how good you get, the cheating AI will always be on your tail. And, since there is no 2-player mode, you're always stuck racing against the AI. The reason I think this game became as popular as it did was because it was a lunch title, and it had an interesting visual gimmick.
Final Fantasy VII PlayStation Although I loved most of the Final Fantasy games before it, the low poly count graphics, ridiculous merger of fantasy and sci-fi, and unimpressive music left me flat.

GoldenEye 007 Nintendo 64 As a PC gamer who grew up with Wolfenstein 3-D and Doom and also played a little of Duke Nukem 3D and Quake, this game always looked so inferior to me. The only people who seemed to be impressed by it were people who never played FPSes on PC with a good 3D engine and a mouse and keyboard. I've only played death match, so, maybe the story mode is good?

Mortal Kombat SNES I hate fighting games with cheating AI, and Mortal Kombat suffers from this greatly. Also, even if you ignore Sub Zero and Scorpion being identical (and the dozens more based on them in later games), the other characters are all too similar. Excluding special moves, each character has a nearly identical move set, which I find boring.
Nights Into Dreams Saturn The game's plot is fun and the music is enjoyable, but it still has the same problem common of most racing games, you have to do the same thing over and over again until you've memorized the track. I don't find that very fun, and I think the art style of the characters and enemies look stupid.
Pokémon Game Boy The vast majority of the game is combat grinding. I probably would have liked it when I was a kid with tons of free time, but now I find grinding pretty insufferable.
