Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman is an English author, born on 1960-11-10, who writes in a variety of fiction genres, but specializes in urban fantasy. In 2024, several women credibly accused Gaiman of sexual assault.

Personal

I first learned about Neil Gaiman when my girlfriend at the time told me about Good Omens. I was still coming out of being religious, and the way she described it made it sound blasphemous. However, I still decided to read it and absolutely loved it. I've since read many of his books and I've loved them all. He has a wonderfully dark sense of humor and his characters are very detailed. The situations he places his characters in are mysterious and often frightening. I love how his endings don't involve putting everyone on a fluffy cloud, but at the same time, aren't terribly tragic. However, after learning about his many credible sexual assault allegations, it made it much harder to appreciate his work.
