Due to the popularity of the song Zombie on the radio, my friend Kevin bought the album and I remember making fun of the band's name, and, when he played the album, the vocals of O'Riordan. This led to a fight between us, and, after he told me the Irish music was important to him because of his Irish heritage, and, after listening to it several times with him and my older brother, the album slowly grew on me enough to buy it myself in the late 1990s. I remember listening to it on the weekends in the morning while showering, and, having direct access to it really allowed me to appreciate the album. It's my favorite Cranberries album, however, the dark themes and semi-caustic sound make it difficult for me to listen to it unless I'm in the right mood.
