I got this audio book in a Humble Bundle. It sat on my hard drive for a few years but, after enjoying one of Kushner's previous books, I gave this one a listen.

Review

Overall:

Rating-6.svg

Good

  • Thanks to being a compilation, the book covers a lot of different stories in the gaming industry, so, even if you're not a fan of one game, there will probably be others you'll like.
  • Kushner did a lot of research and interviews for the stories, so there is plenty of new information to learn.
  • Each of the articles tells a story, so they do a pretty good job of keeping your interest, even when you don't know anything about the topic.

Bad

  • There isn't any new material in this book. It's just a compilation of Kushners articles that are all available online for free. At least they hired a competent reader.
  • The book focuses too much on Rockstar Games and their titles.

Ugly

  • Nothing.
