Sesame Workshop
Sesame Workshop, originally called the Children's Television Workshop (CTW), is an American non-profit organization that creates entertaining educational programming for children. It initially formed on 1968-05-20 and became popular because of their production of the very successful, Sesame Street. The organization changed names from CTW to Sesame Workshop on 2000-06-05 primarily to drop the word "television" from their name since they had become focused on all sorts of media by then.

Personal
As a child, my mother and aunt encouraged me to watch PBS, so I grew up watching a lot of programs produced by the Children's Television Workshop, and they are among the earliest memories of television I have. My mother also bought me a subscription to the Kid City and 3-2-1 Contact magazines. I grew out of their programming in my early teens, but, ever since the birth of my daughters, I have begun watching their programs again.

The current logo, based on Sesame Street logo. A bit too sterile for my taste.
