Seventh Tree is the fourth studio by Goldfrapp, released on CD on 2008-02-22. The songs are mostly ambient dream pop, a departure from the band's earlier dance music, although A&E is dance. Lyrics in a lot of the songs are difficult to understand due to the slurred nature of the vocals, and the lyrics are often pretty abstract, but this album is meant to be more of a soundscape.

Personal

Own?Yes. US limited edition boxed CD.

While reading at Barnes & Noble, I noticed that I was really enjoying the music they were playing. I asked a clerk what I was listening to and he pointed me to the section for Goldfrapp. I bought their latest album, which meant it must have been early-to-mid 2008. I didn't immediately appreciate the music, until I got to A&E which was, for a while, the only song I really liked on the album. However, after several more playthroughs, the rest of the other songs began to grow on me. For me, this album is a great for lazy Sunday afternoons.
