Softnica previously named Pax Softnica (パックスソフトニカ), Pax Softonica, and Imagesoft, is a Japanese video game developer. The company was founded in the early 1980s as Imagesoft which developed games for home computers. The company was bought by Pax Electronica and were renamed to Pax Softonica in October 1983, and later changed to Pax Softnica. Through the late 1980s to the early 2000s, they were contracted to develop games for Nintendo. The company is now known simply as Softnica and no longer develops games for Nintendo.
