This Is the Only Level: Adventures in Singularity is a platformer puzzle game developed by John Cooney and published by Armor Games as a browser game on 2009-08-07. It was developed in Flash.

The game's hook is that there are a bunch of levels, but they're always the same layout as the first. So, instead of changing the map, the game changes the mechanics in each level.

Own?No. This game was never sold.
Won?Yes. A time of 7:26:60 and 39 deaths.

After playing Achievement Unlocked I was curious to see what else the developer made, so I tried this game and I beat it on my first try.

  • I like the idea of using a single level and just changing the rules each play through of it.

  • The controls are not very good. The jump is floaty and there are some movement glitches with some rules.
  • The music loop is too short, so becomes annoying.
  • The game doesn't really have enough variety. I found that a lot of the rules weren't that important (I'm not sure what the mime level was, but I still beat it), or just variations of existing ones (invisible, dark, and zoomed-in could all be solved in the same manner). There were also sections of the map that never required you to explore, like the top right or bottom left.

  • The graphics are very uninspired.
  • The game is too short and too easy. I didn't find any of the puzzles to be very challenging, even the hardest one for me only took about a minute. My very first attempt only took a little over seven minutes, and that was while taking screenshots as I went.
