Starting a new game of TriPeaks.

TriPeaks is a puzzle video game developed by A RHogue Child and published by Microsoft in the Microsoft Entertainment Pack 3 for Windows 3 in 1991. It is a video game version of the card game Tri Peaks.

Personal

I may have known someone who had this game in the 1990s through the The Best of Microsoft Entertainment Pack, but, since it didn't look very different from Tut's Tomb, I didn't bother playing it much. In an effort to play more Windows 3 games, I played this game further and beat it on 2020-07-24.

Status

I don't own this game, but have beaten it.

Best Version: Windows 3

— This section contains spoilers! —

Good

  • The game is a nice bare-bones version of Tri Peaks solitaire.
  • The ability to change the card back is a nice feature.

Bad

  • The game is multimedia-challenged, using the default 16-color Windows palette and lacking sound and music.

Ugly

  • Nothing.
