Tweety's High-Flying Adventure is a platformer video game developed and published by Kemco for the Game Boy Color on 2000-08-11. The game uses Loony Toons characters.

The game is loosely based on the animated movie of the same title, itself a reimagining of Around the World in Eighty Days with Loony Toons characters. You play as Tweety who must fly around the world, avoiding hazards, and beating up putty tats to get their paw prints.


I decided to play this game in order to further my familiarity with the Game Boy Color platform. I beat it on 2022-06-21 on my first attempt.

I don't own the game.

Best Version: Game Boy Color

  • The full screen graphics are well drawn. The sprites are also animated nicely, and, while there is a bit of reuse in enemies, most of the graphics are drawn anew in each stage.
  • The game's music, though forgettable, fits the animated theme of the game and the various locales.
  • The game uses various animation tropes like frantic running animation, slipping on banana peels, and the like.
  • The game gives you infinite lives.
  • A lot of Loony Tunes characters are included in the game's cut scenes.


  • If you hit a cat when they're stunned by a clock, you have to wait for the clock's time to run out before you can get their paw print. Also, if you hit a cat when they're right next to a wall, their paw print will get stuck in the wall and you won't be able to get it.
  • Weapons like the oil and banana peel are objectively inferior to the throwable weapons. They're much slower to use and can hurt you if you walk over them by mistake.
  • The designers probably should have consulted a geographer. After you finish Egypt you go to "Africa" (did they not know Egypt is in Africa?) Also, while London, Paris, Yokohama, and San Francisco are all named by their city, Africa is only named Africa.
  • Why are their acorns in Africa?
  • Lola Bunny being caught off guard with every news segment gets old.
  • There is no reason to have a special pause feature when the weapon menu also acts as a pause.
  • There is no ending or credits, and the "boss fight" with Sylvester is no different than an ordinary cat.
  • The game takes about an hour to beat, so a save feature or at least a password would have been nice.
  • Having to play a tutorial is boring.


  • Although I appreciate that the designers used different graphics and music for each locale, the game play is very similar for every level (and none of it is very enjoyable). It's not too far off from playing the same level nine times in a row.
