Typeface

A typeface, sometimes called a "font family," is a collection of similarly designed fonts. For example, "Times New Roman" is a typeface which consists of multiple fonts including regular, italic, condensed, bold, extra bold, and several others. Each font is a collection of glyphs representing letters, numbers, punctuation marks, and various symbols. I have been a fan of typefaces from an early age, but it wasn't until the early 1990s when I really became interested in them after using word processor programs that could support various typefaces.
