Ultima: Worlds of Adventure, also known as Worlds of Ultima, is a video game series developed and published by Origin Software from 1990-1991. It was designed to take the already popular characters from the Ultima series and put them in new fictional settings. Two games were made for the series, both used the Ultima VI engine. A third game, using the Ultima VII engine, was started and would have been based on the King Arthur story, but it was canceled during its planning stages due to the low sales of the first two games.

Personal

I've only ever watched the introduction sequences of the two games and played around a little bit at the beginning. I've read that the games were a tribute to their subject matter, but not very interesting, and suffered from too much Ultima crossover, so I never bothered to play either of them in earnest.
