Weezer is the third studio album by the band Weezer. Because it is the band's second self-titled album, it is often referred to as the "green album," to distinguish it from the "blue album." It was recorded in December 2000 and released on CD, vinyl, and cassette on 2001-05-15 and produced by Ric Ocasek. This is the only album to feature Mikey Walsh on bass.
The green album has a similar sound to what the band achieved with the blue album, probably due to input from Ocasek once again producing the album.

After the band didn't have much luck with the second album and went on hiatus, they fell off my radar. In the early 2000s, once the singles from this album and Maladroit began seeing a lot of radio play, I became interested in the band again. At first, I downloaded the singles, and, liking them enough, I finally bought the album.
