Weezer is the sixth studio album by the band Weezer, and the third self-titled album. It was released on CD on 2008-06-03 and produced by Rick Rubin and Jacknife Lee. The album is far more experimental than previous albums with forays into genres notably different than the band's alternative rock roots.

Having enjoyed every Weezer album prior, I bought this album without even hearing a single song off of it. I was quite disappointed to discover the very different sound, and I disliked the majority of the songs on the album. Other than Troublemaker and Heart Songs, I don't like the album at all, however, I do appreciate the fact the band tried something new and didn't focus exclusively on Rivers' songs.
