My kingdom for puncture-proof tires |
Feeling: Happy |
2003/11/28 |
Hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgivings. Mine was typical, but good. Well aside from the slashed tire. Hopefully, I can get it fixed before the weekend.
I finished "The Last Battle" to complete the Narnia series. It was a pretty good book, but the ending totally threw me off. It was very uncharastic ending
of a children's book. Of the series, I'd have to say my favorites were "A Horse and His Boy" and "The Magician's Nephew".
I made a prototype of my Nintendo album, I think I've got the order down properly. I want to design some cover art as well, but I think it's almost complete.
I'm also working on a new game called "Genocide". I should have a beta online soon.

Gurus, question, answered. You get the idea.
I updated my Narnia Page. It seems that the movie of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", is definitely a go.
It's supposed to start filming in New Zealand in 2004. They even have Weta doing the special effects.
I now have all the tracks to go on my first NES album. There are 25 tracks, around 37 minutes of sound. I could fit more, but I want to keep it smooth. I've
got the volume equalization done as well, now I need to come up with a decent playing order and some cover art.
Last night Dave came over and we did some boffering in the nice fridged weather, it was great! I'm really out of shape.
I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving tomorrow, ("4F Day").

I've done a bit more hacking on Bionic Commando. I've found some strange text in the ROM that you never see in the game. I think it's text that was in the
Japanses release, but not the American. Some of the stuff sounds a bit naughty!
Moving day for me is coming up pretty quick. I've got a 20 day window to have everything fully moved out from my current place which is plenty of time, but
December is going to be a very expensive month for me even without Christmas.
I started reading "The Last Battle" last night, which is the final book in the Narnia series. Most people say it's the best of the series. We'll see.
My NES album is getting close to completion. I plan on having 25 tracks on the album. I need to equalize the volume of each track, and also come up with a
track list. I'll probably create some CD art as well.

Here comes the snow again |
Feeling: Happy |
2003/11/24 |
Over the weekend I hung out with Kimberly which was a blast. We watched movies, raided the book store, shot some pool, went bowling, and had a great time.
I wrote a new poem titled Time Stands Still. It's about staying the night at my grandparents old house.
Yesterday it was unusually warm, today it snowed. Michigan rules!
Anyone out there who remembers the game Prince of Persia? Well here's a remix of the game made in
flash.

My custom holidays are now online. Feel free to peruse and mock them.
Since my guru's are now working over time they have answered another question.
I've added some more lyrics to the music page as well. I'm now at 1,300. I've pretty much exhausted my favorite songs. I'm
sure I'm still forgetting a few, but most new ones will be when I hear new music.
I'm up to 20 tracks for my Nintendo Music Album, about a half hour of music. I think it's going to turn out really good.

I've beat my gurus into submission and forced them to answer another question.
I've updated the Rent Page with some new content including some video I stole from the main site.
My Nintendo album is coming along well. I've got nine tracks on it so far, about eleven minutes of music. I think it's going to be really good. Only one
person laughed at me so far.
I removed my "currents" page. I doubt anyone ever looked at it, and it was really nothing more than the old news page with less content.
I updated the style sheet changing code. It's now a bit more seamless.

This is a dream; Then it is a good dream |
Feeling: Cool |

The leaves are gone from the trees and as well they are gone from my site. If you don't see the new style sheet switch back to default.
I bought Lord of the Rings: Two Towers, Collectors Edition last night and proceeded to watch the first 3 hours of the behind the scenes. Good stuff.
I've been sort of lazy with my Ask A Guru questions, so I'm now playing catch up with them. As such, a new question has
been answered.
I'm thinking about creating an album composed entirely of Nintendo game music. It's a very time consuming process to log NSF to WAV format, but I think it's
worth it to get the sound out on a CD. I'm such a stud, I know.

2003/11/18 |
I had a very bizarre dream last night which has been chronicled in my Dream Log.
Some updates to the electronic game music page. I found some missing information, and moved a few links local.
Lord of the Rings: Two Towers, Collectors Edition came out today! I have to go and
buy it now.

I enjoyed my weekend very much |
Feeling: Content |
2003/11/17 |
After work on Saturday I went to Shiabruck's November Revel, which was very nice. Good food with good people. I really enjoyed my time with them.
Since I didn't sleep at all Saturday night, most of Sunday was spent sleeping. If you were expecting an email, that's why. I should be able to send them all
out today.
I also found out that Hardee's has the best burgers of any fast food chain I've had. Sadly, the closest one is 10 miles away.
I've added a new page in the games section dedicated to electronic game music. It's a list of links that contain music
files of my favorite game music. Good stuff.

Friday night for the lonely |
Feeling: Happy |
2003/11/15 |
Friday night is supposed to be a big dating frenzy when your single, right? Nah. I went to Big Boy alone, came home, played video games, and downloaded music
videos. It sounds pathetic, I know, but I did beat Super C again without continuing. I'm sure that stands for something.
I also managed to write a very nice clump of rambling text. It is totally incoherant, but it was supposed to be.
I added another compulsive habit that I have. If the fork I'm using is bent, I always make sure to
bend the tines back to their original form.

SQUEE! |
Feeling: Excited |
2003/11/14 |
Good news! Harry Potter: And The Prisoner of Azkaban will be released June 4, 2004! And best of all, the trailer is online!
Check it out! Our favorite Slytherin boys are all
grown up.
Okay, I've finished updating all the pages so they will now use the user selected stylesheet. I really need to fix up the old blue sheet, it doesn't handle
some of the new tables properly.

You don't fool me, those pretty eyes, that sexy smile |

Today is Thursday the 13th. Which isn't bad luck. Nor is Sunday the 13th. For some reason, Friday the 13th is supposed to be bad luck. But why Friday of all
days? Shouldn't Monday be the unlucky one?
This page now uses cookies to load the stylesheet. So if you switch styles, leave, and come back, you'll still have your selection. Not all of the subpages
use the cookie yet, that will be taken care of shortly.

You suck my blood like a leech |
Feeling: Sleepy |
2003/11/12 |
For the first time in about a week I finally have some alone time after work.
There's a new side form called Styles. See it there, down on your right? I'm trying to make my style-sheets dynamic so you can pick which one you want. Right
now it only works for the main page, so I need to force you to eat cookies to get it functioning on all pages. Even still, it will probably only work in IE.
Anyway, for those of you who've been with me since the site was all blue, you'll get a taste of nostalgia.
The search form now utilizes a drop-down combobox instead of all those buttons. HTML obviously was not designed by programmers.

I've got my new apartment taken care of. It becomes mine at the beginning of December.
Several new Unusual City Names have been added, thanks to all who submitted a name.
I've updated The Matrix Page with some new content from Revolutions.
The gurus have answered a new question.

It couldn't be avoided, we were bound to meet |
Feeling: Okay |
2003/11/10 |
There has been some rearranging of my provider's servers. Some stuff might be a little screwy for awhile until I get it fixed.
The wedding was better than I expected it would be. Aside from setting up, tearing down, and having to film it, I had fun. I didn't have to put up much with
too many drunks which was good, and I got to dance to decent music for a change (GNR, Metallica, Bob Seger, to name a few). It was nice seeing several people
who I haven't seen in years. I'm now the only single one in my family, and hopefully it will stay that way for a long time.
I picked up the Evanescence album "Fallen" just in time for their guitarist to split. I love Amy Lee's vocals.
Sunday, I helped my parents with some remodeling. I also fixed the door of my car so it can now open, although it's still hideously dented.
I'm off to check on apartments again, and hopefully tonight I'll actually finalize the deal.

Feeling: Lonely |
2003/11/07 |
I have to help setup for my sister's wedding tonight. Tomorrow is the ceremony which I've been given the boring task of filming. Oh well, weddings by
themselves are rather pointless to begin with. People indulging in outdated traditions that few even remember the meanings to. Compound that with the amount of
alcoholics in either family, and you've got loads of self humiliation. Gosh, it's going to be great.
Or, maybe I'm just bitter because I'm still single, who knows?

"Revolutions" was pretty good. Not as good as "The Matrix", but certainly on par with "Reloaded".
My gurus have answered another question regarding hunting.
October has been pushed to the Old News Page.
I've also increased my Lyrics Archive to 1,250.
I get to check out more apartments today. Yay, me.

|
No time for a clever title |
Feeling: Okay |
2003/11/05 |
"Matrix Revolutions" came out today, sweet.
I am a bit amazed at the feedback I got from my latest poem. I received several emails
concerning it. Maybe it's just the content?
I added an encyclopedia to the search form as well. Not the kind of stuff I expect other people to use, but I use those search engines fairly often.
|
|
My car isn't pretty anymore |
Feeling: Unusual |
2003/11/04 |
I've added a new poem called Just Another Guy, Just Another Girl. It's kind of embarrassing,
but I'm still very proud of it. You'll have to read it to understand what I mean. Be warned though, it's a bit racy.
I finished reading A Brief History of Time, which was a great book but I must admit that I only understood about a third of it.
I'm having a bit of trouble with my MUD. I've got the communications working for the most part, but I'm having trouble with Microsoft's winsock Active X
control. I think I need to go multi-threaded which is a pain.
I added three new search buttons to the search sidebar. It now has a quick reference to a dictionary, thesaurus, rhyming words, and homophones.

Good Halloween memories |
Feeling: Happy |
2003/11/03 |
Here's the skinny on my weekend. Friday night was the Halloween Party in Owosso, which was a blast. I was dressed in 80's glam rock, which made me look oh so
sexy. I chatted with a bunch of friends until the wee hours of the morning. The drive home was rather disappointing because my car was hit by a deer.
Yes, you read right, the deer hit my car. I was doing about 60 mph and the deer ran straight into the side of my car causing damage to the entire passenger
side. This is what the good side looks like, and this the the bad side. There are tufts of fur
in some of the dents. The deer bounded away and is probably laughing at me with his buddies. I hope he dies a slow painful death.
Saturday, I drove north of Bay City to visit Kimberly, which was great. We walked on the beach, played some games, talked, and really got to know each other
better.
Sunday, I did some home repairs in preparation for moving out. I also checked on some apartments of where I'll probably be moving into.
A new question has been answered by our gurus. We're a bit behind right now, but we're slowly catching up.
